Applying For A Firearm

If you need to apply for a firearm please visit NJSP. At this site you will fill out the information needed for your NJ Firearms Purchaser ID Card and/or your Permit to Purchase a Handgun.

You will need your towns ORI number. Click here to find it. An example to fill it out is NJ+0 (your 4 digit code) +00.

**Remember if this is your first time applying for a firearm You MUST apply for a Firearms ID Card & a Handgun Permit.**

If you have any thoughts of buying more than one firearm we recommend applying for a minimum of three permits.
